Helpful tips for a successful 1031 Exchange:

  • ​Selecting a Qualified Intermediary, the QI will be responsible for holding the proceeds from the sale of your relinquished property until they can be used to purchase the DST investment
  • Sell your Relinquished Property, Once you have identified a QI, you will need to sell your relinquished property and transfer the funds from the sale to the QI. It's important to note that the funds must be held by the QI and cannot be touched by you in any way.>
  • ​Purchase your DST Investment​, after the QI has received the funds from the sale of your relinquished property, you will have 45 days to identify the DST investment you wish to purchase.
